Lost 29 pounds and 17% Body Fat

I began my journey to get back into shape after 2 babies in less than 2 years in October of 2015, bright eyed and optimistic. I set my calories on the recommended MyFitnessPal 1400 a day and was CrossFitting 3 to 4 days a week. While I did make progress, it was super slow and my bright-eyed optimism began to fade. This was much harder and more frustrating than I thought. I lost 10lbs in 6 months and was tired and run down. In the Spring of 2016, I participated in my first ever CrossFit open and needed a gym to do 16.4 in while I was on the road. Google and God led me to Dwala, where I worked out for the week I was visiting my family and completed 16.4. While I was there, I kept hearing whispers of nutrition with Jake and the results people were having with weight loss and with performance. I decided, what the heck, I have nothing to lose, so I took a leap of faith and signed up for 12 weeks of nutrition coaching with Jake. Little did I know those 12 weeks would change my life. From April 2016 to August 2016, I went from 191lbs and 27% body fat to 18.5% body fat and 169lbs, I pr’d every lift I attempted by 20 to 50 lbs, and, even more than the weight loss and performance, I found a new passion - nutrition.

I enrolled in a certification course and got my own nutrition certification and began coaching people myself. I just finished my second nutrition certification and am so grateful for Jake taking the time to coach me and teach me how to properly fuel my body and introducing me to a passion I didn't know I had.
